Stockholm Film Festival – How it works!
Stockholm International Film Festival 2020 takes place between 11-22 November, and will screen 75 films from 42 countries. We also arrange seminars and Face2Face. A novelty for this year's festival is our digital platform, Festival on Demand, which makes a large part of this year's program available online.

RED CARPET
Our biggest films gets the Red Carpet-treatment. We roll out the red carpet and drinks and snacks are served in the lobby before the screening. In 2020, drinks and snacks will be offered inside the cinema while guests are being seated. Directors and actors are often invited to the screenings and take part in a Face2Face-conversation after the film.
All our Red Carpet-screenings are open to the public.
BE IN TIME FOR THE SCREENING
Remember to arrive on time as you will not be allowed access your seat once the screening has started. Red Carpet events begin 15 minutes before the screening.
SCHOOL CINEMA
Stockholm International Film Festival collaborates with School Cinema (Skolbio) in order to spread the culture of film and cinema to younger generations. School Cinema is especially dedicated to students and kids from the City of Stockholm.
Stockholm International Film Festival provides students, from the age of 15, the opportunity to see new films from all around the world for only 30 SEK per film.

A SAFE FILM FESTIVAL
Your safety at the screenings is our top priority. We continue to follow the advice and restrictions applied by Folkhälsomyndigheten due to the current pandemic. A maximum amount of 50 seated guests inside the cinemas, assigned by our staff with a distance of at least 1 meter between each seat, has been applied. Hand sanitizers are always offered and all visitors are encouraged to keep their distance, both indoors and outdoors. Furthermore, visitors and employees are encouraged to stay home at the slightest symptom.
By working together we will manage to arrange a safe film filmfestival in November.
