THE COMPETITION IS NOW OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS
The national short film competition 1 Minute Film allows all 6-19 year olds to compete with their very own short-films. The films can be about anything, and you can submit as many films as you want. The films can be created in groups, or you can make them alone if you prefer. The only requirement is that the your films are between 1 and 3 minutes long.
In the national short-film competition 1 Minute Film, all 6-19 year olds can participate with their own short films. When you are done with your film you send it to us and our celebrity jury will judge the films and decide on the winners. Three winners will be announced on the 6th of April 2019 at Skandia Cinema in Stockholm. The deadline for submitting films is the 19th of March 2019.
The winners will receive an entire day with a professional in the film industry to help them create their next successful film, which will be done in collaboration with ABF Stockholm. If you need any tips on how to create films for the 1 Minute Film competition, you can turn to your local ABF Department for help.
More prizes will be revealed closer to the festival.
You can make the film alone or with a group, all are welcome regardless of whether you want to compete alongside your class, your bestie, your sibling, or your pet! Create a new film, or you can even use a film you've previously made. You can send in as many submissions as you want.
This year's competition has no theme, meaning you can make the film about anything you want.
1 minute film is broken down into three age-categories; 6-10 years, 11-14 years, and 15-19 years. Three films will be nominated in each category, and one winner out of every age-category will be revealed at the glamorous Prize Ceremony at Skandia cinema in Stockholm. There we will all be dressed up, ready to roll out the red carpet and deal out the prizes to the winners.
